While architecture is a deliberate reinterpretation of the world that often takes the form of a built work that can be inhabited and experienced immersively, the ideas that motivate these works remain valuable even if they have not yet been manifested in a physical form. For that reason, this office is first and foremost concerned with the development of new and valuable ideas about the world—as well as architecture’s relation to it—which it then seeks to demonstrate across a wide range of media.

So, while the office’s completed projects—both built and speculative—provide a means to demonstrate these ideas and develop new ones, many of these ideas transcend their specific embodiment in the projects. They are instead better described in the various essays, journal articles, lectures, and other texts that the office also produces alongside its built designs.

The following links therefore provide brief overviews of some recent ideas being developed by the office.
